On Friday, Wizards forward Mike Scott scored 22 points against the Clippers on 9 of 10 shooting from the field including making 2 of 3 from the three point line. You can watch highlights of his performance in the video above from Down to Buck’s YouTube channel.
Scott is on a tear so far in December. He is averaging 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in December, while shooting 64.8 percent from the field. Both are above his season averages of 8.9 points an 3.7 rebounds this season.
It just so happens that Scott is also playing better than Markieff Morris, who is the regular starter at power forward. Morris only scored in double figures once in December, while Scott did so four times, including three times in the Wizards’ last four games. If this trend continues, don’t be surprised to see Scott emerge as the Wizards’ starter this season.
