It's been awhile since I wrote those last two words.

The Wizards defeated the Cavaliers on the road 97-85 on Tuesday to snap a four-game losing streak.

I'm really pleased with the win, but it's important that Washington keeps this momentum tonight when they host the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers have begun an eight-game road trip which kicked off with a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday after hometown kid Kobe Bryant was given a huge round of applause when starting lineups were called.

So like the Sixers did yesterday, the Wizards need to have that same emotion to win despite the fact that one of the All-Time greats is visiting for the last time as a player.

I'm starting to get off point so let's get to some postgame links and more.

Postgame links

It's 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday so I probably didn't hit them all. So let's get to some recaps which are below:

Pancake Spotlight: The Plattar

We head back to Europe and learn about a new pancake, the plattar from Sweden. Like crêpes in France or the pannenkoeken in the Netherlands/Belgium, these are thinner than the American buttermilk pancakes. Food Network has a recipe here, and check out this video (via Chef Tips' YouTube channel):

Last season, John Wall announced to the world he was going to have the best season of his career, with a 28 point, 7 assist, 6 rebound performance in the Wizards' first meeting against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was the game that showed the world could outshine the NBA's best on a given night. From there, Wall went on to earn a starting spot in the All-Star Game and all sorts of other accolades.

After a disastrous start to the 2015-16 campaign, Wall used the Wizards' first game against the Cavaliers to make a new statement: He's back. And when he's on, even the best team in the Eastern Conference can't slow him down.

Wall created some easy opportunities for himself thanks to five steals and used those turnovers to put the Cavaliers on their heels early in the game. From there, Wall was able to mix his jumper and his driving to give the Cavs fits all night long. But to be fair, it's hard for any defense to work when a player shoots like this:

We'll need more time to see if John Wall is out of the funk that caused the team's struggles early this season, but if he can get it clicking, the Wizards are just as dangerous as they were last season.

Well that was about the most emphatic and response you can give after a four-game losing streak. You can't expect the Wizards to play THAT well every night from here out, but hopefully it's a sign of better things to come as the Wizards enter a tough part of their schedule.

L.W. will have your recap shortly.

Wizards and Cavs heading in different directions as teams face-off Tuesday night in first matchup of the season.

The Wizards head to the not so friendly confines of Quicken Loans Arena Tuesday night looking to end their four game skid. The Wizards can't be looking back thinking "what if" after the Toronto game as they enter this contest against the Cavs, the top team in the east.

The Cavs are cruising along, winners of their past five of six games. The Cavs have finally learned how to use Kevin Love this season as he and LeBron James are averaging a combined 45.4 points per night.

This is not an ideal situation for the Wizards to walk into as Randy Wittman's seat is getting hotter and Wizards' fans are getting antsier and antsier as each game passes.

Game Info

When: December 1 @ 7 PM EST.

Where: Quicken Loans Arena

TV: CSN Mid-Atlantic locally, NBA TV nationally

Radio: 99.1 WNEW

Injury Report

Alan Anderson remains out for the Wizards. Drew Gooden, Nene and Gary Neal did not practice on Tuesday and are doubtful for Tuesday's game.

For the Cavs, Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert are still out.

What to Watch

Can Otto Porter slow down LeBron James? It will take an entire team effort if the Wizards are going to beat the Cavs but it must start with Otto Porter slowing down Lebron James. Otto has struggled this season when tasked with guarding elite small forwards (Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Paul George) and he's about to run into the baddest of the bunch in LeBron James. If the Wizards are going to win this game, they are going to need Porter's best defensive effort of the season. In addition, Otto must stay engaged on the offense end knocking down open shots, hustling for offensive rebounds, and not exerting all of his energy on defense.

Can the Wizards string together two strong defensive efforts? Even in the loss, the Wizards put together their strongest defensive performance of the season holding the Raptors to just 84 points. The Wizards also turned the Raptors over 22 times resulting in 13 points. If the Wizards are going to pull out this victory, they'll need just as good, if not better of a defensive effort that they showed Saturday night.

Will the real John Wall please stand up? John Wall has not been his typical All-Star self this season. After stating that he needs to shoot and attack more after the Indiana game, Wall jacked up 25 shots against Toronto connecting on just 6 of them, which left the Wizards' faithful scratching their heads even more. Wall kept his turnovers down committing just three but only had five assists, well below his season average of 7.6. If the Wizards are going to pull out this victory, they are going to need something along the lines of 20, 10, and 6 from John Wall. He's been underperforming so far this season; Tuesday night would be a great time to flip the switch and change all of that.
