Let's review Wednesday's game.

The Wizards lost to the Warriors 134-121 in a game when John Wall and Stephen Curry combined for 92 points.

Video

Don Newman's postgame presser is above. Other players' are below:

More: Jared Dudley Garrett Temple John Wall Bradley Beal Otto Porter

In Newman's presser, he was asked why he sat Wall in the third quarter after his fourth personal foul despite the fact that the Wizards were down 82-79. Many of us and fans weren't exactly pleased when Golden State took full advantage of that and got the deficit back to double digits.

Newman explained that Wall had to rest and was glad he did sit Wall because of his performance after he came back. Wall scored 41 points in the game despite the loss and made the game interesting until the very end. If Newman kept him in and he commits another personal foul, Wall would have five personal fouls, and he probably would have played fewer minutes than he did.

Ultimately, this is just one of those "damned for doing it" and "damned for not doing it" situations.

Coach Newman has had "numerous procedures and treatments" on his right eye

In the past two seasons, the Newman's right eye has been a topic of discussion among Wizards fans because the area was getting redder, and his eye was eventually shut in the 2014-15 season. In the 2015-16 season, Newman wore a patch on the eye.

With this game on national television and with Randy Wittman sitting the game out, the spotlight was now fully on Newman. The ESPN national team confirmed Newman's eye injury and noted that he has had "numerous procedures and treatments" on it.

Also with Newman as the Wizards' head coach for the last two games and on the bench each of the last two seasons, it sends the message that he is still able to perform despite it. If he wasn't, he would have left a while ago.

I am sorry for any fans who arrived late to tonight's game.

Stephen Curry scored 51 points tonight including 25 in the first quarter as the Warriors outlasted the Wizards 134-121. The stat sheet won't show it, but the Wizards actually played fairly well defensively and put forth one of their best overall efforts all season against the NBA's best.

In the blink of an eye, the Wizards found themselves down 18-8 as Don Newman was forced to call an early timeout. Stephen Curry was out of his mind in the first quarter shooting 9-10 from the field and 7-8 from three-point range. Ironically enough, the three he missed was probably the most wide open look of them all.

Wall tried guarding Curry, nope. Temple tried guarding Curry, nope. Curry would end the first quarter with 25 points as the Warriors led 43-28.

Give the Wizards credit, they took a punch in the mouth but continued to fight back. Bradley Beal played very well for the Wizards tonight scoring 18 points and 10 in the first half. Beal did a better job attacking the hole and didn't settle for those long two's that we've gotten used to.

Wall and Gortat got back to running the pick-and-roll and suddenly the Warriors 15 point lead was trimmed down to nine with 3:45 to play in the half. A quick spurt from the Warriors stretched the lead to 74-60 at halftime.

The Wizards had way more energy to start the second half. Otto picked off a lazy pass and finished with a dunk to get the momentum rolling. The Wizards started the quarter on a 19-7 run to cut the lead to two.

John Wall picked up his fourth foul at the 6:18 mark and was forced to watch the rest of the third quarter from the bench.

Like the Warriors often do, they went on a quick 10-0 run in just two minutes to stretch the lead 11, 103-92 after three.

John Wall wouldn't let this team go down without a fight. Wall continued to be aggressive attacking the hole and not settling for jumpers. Gary Neal hit three jumpers off the bench and there was a glimmer of hope as the Wizards trailed by just six.

The Warriors make you pay though. Otto Porter missed a layup which would have cut the lead to six and the Warriors responded with a Steph Curry three on the other end.

Hell of an effort by the team tonight but they'd come up short, 134-121.

Steph Curry Show: Curry scored a career-high for points in a first-half with 36 and 51 for the game. The MVP went 19-28 from the field including 11-16 from three-point range. Curry was unconscious and the Wizards had absolutely no answer on the defensive end. Curry was flicking up 28-foot shots like they were layups and splash, they'd go in. Wall started out on Curry then the Wizards switched Garrett Temple on him. It didn't matter. The Wizards actually did a decent job of getting a hand in Curry's face, but it just didn't matter.

John Wall had the quietest 41 point 10 assist game you'll ever see: You can't knock the effort. Wall played his heart out tonight scoring 41 points on 17-25 shooting to go along with 10 assists. Wall was hitting jump shots, went 3-3 from three-point range, and was fearless in attacking the hole. It was clear that Wall came to play tonight with a chip on his shoulder. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough.

John Wall scored 41 points tonight. That's a huge night! However, Stephen Curry scored 51 points to lead the Warriors to a 134-121 victory.

And even though we're talking sooooo much about Curry, Draymond Green also got his tenth triple-double of the season with 12 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds!

The Wizards had a great night offensively, but sometimes, that isn't good enough when you play a team like the Warriors.

Recap's comin' shortly.

The House of Guards is playing well. Stephen Curry is playing better.

John Wall isn't doing too bad. He scored 20 points on 8 of 12 shooting, and Beal added 12 more.

But Stephen Curry scored 36 points in the first half -- a career high for him. I chronicled his first 25 points here, and now he's out John Wall-ing John Wall:

Sometimes, you just have to take a step back and tip your hat off.

Stephen Curry scored 25 points against the Wizards in the first quarter of Wednesday's Wizards game. He did so by draining seven threes out of eight attempts.

The chances are slim for the Wizards win tonight, but they don't have to be if you root for the home team.

I cannot remember a time when the Golden State Warriors were this big. Baron Davis could give you the occasional top ten highlight play and Jason Richardson was an NBA Slam Dunk Champion among other things but these Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr led Golden State Warriors are basketball rock stars. It's fitting when you think about it, Steve Kerr is of the Chicago Bulls 90's era where they dominated countless opponents and moved throughout the league with a fearless aura like historic bounty hunters. Steph Curry's dominance is seven years in the making. I guess it's a good thing that Kobe Bryant is headed out this year and LeBron James can not figure out where his loyalties lie: Cleveland or Miami (Hey, there's still a chance he leaves again. Stay Woke.)

So, today as they enter the crumbling palace of DC's Wallstar the last thing these Wizards need is the mental instability of the past, where your home crowd cheers harder for the opponent and boos you at the free throw line. It would be nice if just for this one game Washington Wizards fans came out decked in ruby red or navy blue as if this were the last game of the season, as if this were a playoff game. I know many of you want Wittman gone and Ernie too, but what about cheering for the team that's still here? What about showing love for them as they show love for you? Believe it or not, those front office changes that Wizards fans around the country want desperately may never happen.

Their home play has been awful. Trust me I know. I have sat through many a blowout, wanting to lay my head down on the tables at press row like a pillow. I think these Wizards have taken it to heart the home crowd cheering against them this year. As a reminder to all watching, they are human beings too. Golden State beats their opponents by double-digits in embarrassing fashion. Of the 48 games they've played this season, they've won 30 games by 10 or more. The Wizards have lost 7 games at home by double digits and 3 of those were total soul-crushing blowouts by 20 or more.

Things to Note:

Golden State almost lost to the Sixers on Saturday, but almost doesn't count. Harrison Barnes hit a clutch three and the rest is history

The New York Knicks hung around in the first half of their game against them on Sunday, until they disappeared. The funny thing is Steph Curry is such a metahuman that The Carmelo Anthony tried to hold his head in place, so Steph wouldn't shuffle around him. And, they still lost.

The Warriors have lost four games this season: at Milwaukee, at Dallas, at Denver, at Detroit. The one thing you can take from these four L's is this: they tire easily on the road. From the bus to the plane to the arena, to the bus and to the plane again, their bodies slow down and with that, they are in beatable territory. "They've shown why they're the best shooters in the league," Wall said. "They're able to knock down shots. But I think they're a beatable team. Every team is beatable in this league."

The Wizards will need you if they want to win tonight and this is how you can help:

3 Keys to being Wiz Sixth Man:

1. Boo the opponent, not the home team

This has been a weird problem all season, the transient city of D.C. is full of bandwagon fans, who come out to see the big names in sports and forget about the home team. For this game only try cheering for the Wizards, especially given the fact that this is a nationally televised game. KD could be watching.

2. Create D-E-F-E-N-S-E chants throughout game

The Wizards' struggles on defense have been heavily documented, so maybe what they need is a little love from their home crowd to keep their heads in the game and not on the lack of fan support. The Wizards may never become the defensive-minded team they once were, but at least you get to enjoy yourself tonight loudly chanting defense, and release the stresses of the workday.

3. If Wizards get down early, cheer them on anyway

Whatever happens tonight will be history in the making, and you will be apart of that. Either the Washington Wizards will hand the Golden State Warriors their fifth loss on a historic season. Or the Golden State Warriors will continue at an unbelievable rate to top the 95-96 Chicago Bulls, seventy-two-win NBA season.

The chances are slim for a Wizards win this evening, but they don't have to be.

On the verge of a heavyweight matchup, the Washington Wizards look to become only the 5th team this season to defeat the Golden State Warriors. Although sitting pretty at a 44-4 record, the Warriors have been <strike>"struggling"</strike> <strike>"not playing well" "stumbling"</strike> winning by less than 30+ in their recent games against Philadelphia and New York. With the Warriors 10.5 point favorites tonight, we thought it would be fun to ask: "What would you do if the Wizards beat the Warriors tonight?"

(Disclaimer: Should any one of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson or Draymond Green not play tonight, all bets are off)
