Tina Charles and Elena Delle Donne lead the Mystics with 92 ratings on NBA 2K22

They are also tied with three other teams as the second-best team in the game. But they are the worst team in a key category for simulations.

NBA 2K22 is out, so if you are an enthusiastic gamer, I hope you are taking full advantage of it! Yesterday, I posted on the Washington Wizards’ ratings where they were a Tier 3 team (out of three tiers). Today, I will post on the Washington Mystics’ ratings since WNBA teams’ ratings are also available on the game.

Unlike the Wizards, who are below average, but not among the absolute lowest rated teams on 2K22, the Mystics are one of the better WNBA teams based on their ratings despite their 11-18 record.

According to 2KRatings.com, their overall rating is 83, an average of the top eight players. This is tied with the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx for the second-best rating in the league. The best team is the Las Vegas Aces with an overall rating of 85 and the Storm, who are 20-10 this season have an overall rating of 82.

That said, the Mystics have the worst overall playmaking rating which is a 63 while the Storm lead the league in that category with an 82. So in video game simulations, that could lead to Washington being a team that doesn’t play to its potential in 2K22 at least.

Player-wise, the Mystics’ overall rating is boosted because they have two players with ratings above 90. Tina Charles has a rating of 92 and Elena Delle Donne also has a rating of 92.

Here are the ratings for all of the Mystics players and their positions as listed in the game:

  • Tina Charles, PF/C, 92
  • Elena Delle Donne, PF/C, 92
  • Myisha Hines-Allen, PF/SF, 84
  • Ariel Atkins, SF/SG, 83
  • Alysha Clark, SF/PF, 83
  • Natasha Cloud, SF/SG, 79
  • Leilani Mitchell. PG/SG, 76
  • Theresa Plaisance, PF/C, 75
  • Megan Gustafson, PF, 74
  • Shavonte Zellous, PG/SG, 74
  • Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, SG/PG, 74
  • Erica McCall, PF/C, 73
  • Sydney Wiese, SG/SF, 71

In addition, it appears that Emma Meesseman is also a free agent on the game. Her rating is an 88. Maya Moore is the top rated free agent at a 93, but since she hasn’t played in several years, I think her rating is simply too high, while Meesseman’s is appropriate. It’s a bit peculiar that retired players like LaToya Sanders. Seimone Augustus and Alana Beard are also apparently on the game. I don’t have the game yet but will later this weekend. And I’ll play it as the Wizards and Mystics while on vacation. (YES!) So I’ll update this if needed.
