Game notes
The Washington Mystics will face the Dallas Wings for the second time this season on Thursday at home in D.C. In their first matchup on June 26, Dallas led by double-digits almost the entire game. The Wings were able to pull off a 85-74 win thanks to Arike Ogunbowale, who dropped a team-high 30 points and Allisha Gray and Satou Sabally, who added 14 and 12 points respectively. Tina Charles led the Mystics with a stellar 27 points and 10 rebounds.
The Mystics will play the Wings their next two games at home. Satao Sabally will not be able available to help her team as is currently out with an Achilles injury and did not make the trip to Washington. According to The Washington Post’s Kareem Copeland, Tina Charles will not suit up for a second consecutive game as she deals with a Left Gluteal Strain.

The Mystics are coming off a 78-68 win against the Sparks. It was their first win since coming back from Olympic break and hopefully they can continue building with Elena Delle Donne’s return. Myisha Hines-Allen and Delle Donne led the Mystics with 19 and 18 points respectively. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Ariel Atkins added 10 points each. The Mystics will certainly be a greater force when Tina Charles returns but they’ll have to put in extra work in the meantime.
