The Washington Mystics (6-6) are facing the Seattle Storm (12-2) for the first time tonight. The game will be televised on JoeTV and Monumental Sports Network at 10 p.m. EST. tonight

The team will be without Natasha Cloud, Myisha Hines-Allen, Kiara Leslie, Erica McCall and Elena Delle Donne due to injuries. As a result being shorthanded, the Mystics used hardship provision to sign free-agent center Megan Gustafson on Monday afternoon. The 24-year old, who spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Wings before being waived on May 12, averaged 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds as a rookie in 2019 and averaged 1.6 points and 1.2 rebounds per game last season. Gustafson will wear number 10 for the Mystics.

Seattle is currently ranked first in the league and has only lost twice this season. They’ve also won their last 5 games so the shorthanded Mystics will have to be aggressive in the backcourt because the Storm has more than a handful of players who can put up double-figures on any given night.

We also saw in the comments that you wanted us to get a GameThread going for the conference finals. The Phoenix Suns are hosting the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 2 of their Western Conference series which you can watch on ESPN. The tip-off that game is at 9 p.m. ET.
