The Washington Mystics play the New York Liberty at 7 p.m. ET. You can watch the game on NBC Sports Washington. It’s also on YES in the NYC area and NBA TV Canada if you live north of the border.

This game pits a Mystics team looking a lot like the Wizards in the first five games of their regular season. I mean, they just haven’t looked good in their first two games.

While two games are just two games, a WNBA regular season is less than half as long as an NBA regular season. I’m not willing to say that the Mystics are lottery bound yet because they have yet to see Myisha Hines-Allen (overseas) or Elena Delle Donne play (back) for any length of time just yet. But they will have to turn things around quickly.

The Liberty are currently undefeated and their sophomore point guard Sabrina Ionescu pulled off a “Russell Westbrook” in her last game.

Thankfully, the Mystics have multiple strong defenders, like Ariel Atkins and Natasha Cloud could keep her and Bentnijah Laney (23.3 ppg). That said, I’m not optimistic about the Mystics coming out with their first win tonight. We’ll see however.

Go Mystics.
