VIDEO: Natasha Cloud talks USA 3x3, practicing alongside teammate Ariel Atkins

The Washington Mystics guard is getting some work in ahead of the 2021 WNBA season.

Washington Mystics guard Natasha Cloud is back on the court after opting out of the 2020 WNBA season to focus on social justice issues. Cloud and teammate Ariel Atkins have been in San Antonio for USA Basketball’s 3x3 Training Camp as Select Team athletes since March 26.

The women’s 3x3 team consists of four players – Kelsey Plum, Stefanie Dolson, Allisha Gray, and Katie Lou Samuelson, who is currently still playing in Spain. Atkins and Cloud are practicing with the team and won’t be traveling to Tokyo with the team if the USA makes its this Summer, at least for now.

The USA women’s 3x3 team has a chance to qualify for the Olympics from May 26-30 in the Olympic Qualifiers which will be held in Austria.

We caught up with Cloud to talk 3-on-3, practicing alongside Atkins before the Mystics’ season. And we also asked her about her reaction to Alysha Clark sitting out the 2021 WNBA season due to a Lisfranc injury of her right foot.
