Last time Washington played New York it ended in a blowout and a hurtful injury

The Washington Mystics will face the New York Liberty for an early matchup starting at 12 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Washington and NBA TV.

In their last meeting, the Liberty were winless until then beating Washington 74-66. That game was also the last we saw of Aerial Powers for the season after sustaining a leg injury.

This previous loss was one of the seven game losing streak for the Mystics.

But now that’s all in the past as Washington has the chance to take the final playoff spot if they win out and hope the Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings lose.

So go Mystics!
