For a second consecutive day, the WNBA announced games have been postponed. The three games scheduled for this evening in the WNBA Bubble (Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever; Dallas Wings vs. New York Liberty; Las Vegas Aces vs. Seattle Storm) will not be played, according to a statement put out by the league. It is unclear when games will be rescheduled.
WNBA players opting to not play is no surprise as they are always at the forefront of calling out injustices. “This is not a strike,” Nneka Ogwumike said in statement from the WNBA players. “This is not a boycott. This is affirmatively a day of reflection.”
