Pregame notes

The Mystics and Dream are facing each other for the second time this season. The last time they matched up was just seven days ago, resulting in a 98-91 win for Washington.

In that game the Mystics was led by Stella Johnson who put on an incredible 25-point performance, making 6 shots from behind the arc. In that game, the Mystics had five players in double-figures. Atlanta had two players with 30-plus points which this time around cannot happen if a possible Meesseman-less Washington team wants to secure another win.

Betnijah Laney led with 35 points with a solid 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Courtney Williams followed with an impressive 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. The Mystics need to contain both.

The Mystics are coming off a one-point loss to the Mercury last Sunday while Atlanta just beat the Lynx by 3 points. Washington has gone 0-2 since Meesseman has been out with a shoulder injury. It is unclear if she will be ready to return Wednesday evening, but the Mystics will need her to keep their fading playoff hopes alive.
