Another day...another set of games for Washington. Over the last several days, the Washington Wizards and Mystics have played regular season games on the same day. On July 31, the Mystics started playing just one hour before the Wizards took the floor.
And today, the teams are playing on the same day AT THE SAME TIME.
The Mystics will face the Minnesota Lynx. Unfortunately, they are on a four-game losing streak and will be without Aerial Powers for at least a week due to an ankle injury. She leads the Mystics in scoring averaging 16.3 points per game.
The Wizards are facing the Milwaukee Bucks at the same time. Before the NBA season restart began, it would be no surprise to see Washington to lose to the Eastern Conference’s top squad. But the Wizards have yet to win a game in Orlando, even if Milwaukee is 2-4 in their seeding games so far in the bubble.
So let’s hear it...what do the Mystics and the Wizards need to win tonight? For the Mystics, is their season effectively over with a loss? Will a win boost their confidence to win even more? And for the Wizards, is it imperative that they win at least one game in Orlando?
Make sure to tune in tonight to ESPN2 and Monumental Sports Network for the Mystics. NBC Sports Washington will have the Wizards game.
Rep the District and stay Together DC!! Apply Pressure to the Lynx and Bucks! The last few days have been rough with both teams losing on the same day, but we’ll have some faith that it may somehow end tonight!
