The 2020 WNBA Draft is on tonight at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. The Washington Mystics are the defending WNBA champions and effectively drafted Tina Charles with the 12th pick of this year’s draft. Okay, they traded the 12th pick and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, plus all three of their 2021 draft picks for Charles in a trade with the New York Liberty and Dallas Wings on Wednesday.
In addition to ESPN’s coverage, you can watch SB Nation’s Matt Ellentuck host a live show with Mystics guard Natasha Cloud, Chicago Sky forward Gabby Williams and basketball skills coach Alex Bazzell. Click on the link below to see it.
The Mystics still have the 24th and 36th overall picks. We will post on whom they select tonight, barring those picks getting traded away. And you never know if Washington makes another trade to get back in the first round or to facilitate other deals around the league.
Finally, if you’re looking for a mock draft, check out Swish Appeal’s Eric Nemchock’s 36-pick mock draft, which was done prior to the Charles trade.
Happy draft watching!
