The Washington Mystics play the Las Vegas Aces at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Use this space to talk about the game.
While most of our readers are excited to see the Mystics begin their playoff run as the top seed in the WNBA Playoffs, some others are upset that they have “hijacked” the front page or wrote derogatory comments about them. Writing derogatory comments is not acceptable.
The Mystics have earned the right to be on the front page, especially now. We determined this several years ago.
Even The Washington Post is putting them FRONT AND CENTER:

The Mystics are the No. 1 team in the WNBA with room to spare. And it looks like almost nothing is getting in their way of winning that elusive championship ring, especially in a year where multiple stars on other teams are sitting the year out due to an Achilles injury in the case of Breanna Stewart or a sabbatical in the case of Maya Moore.
I am enjoying this Mystics playoff run and hope you do too. I can go on and on about why in another column, but this team is playing the type of basketball almost every Wizards fans wants to see, and they are built in a way that is basically anti-Ernie Grunfeld in every way.
The Wizards’ training camp begins in less than two weeks. We will post news as it comes and certainly did yesterday. And yes, there are apparently some Bradley Beal trade rumors but the Wizards have been adamant that he’s staying for at least the next few months.
Anyway, let’s watch the game. GO MYSTICS!
