Emma Meesseman has grown a lot personally and professionally. Unfortunately, we never got to see much of that with the Washington Mystics because of Belgium’s rise on the world stage. I was never skeptical about Meesseman’s talent over the last couple years. I feared that we would never get to see her shine as she enters her prime.
On Tuesday, Meesseman led Washington with a playoff career-high 27 points in their 97-95 Game 1 win over the Las Vegas Aces. She shot 12-of-18 from the field and also 2-of-4 from the three-point line. As you might expect, her shot chart was spectacular.

The shots don’t tell the whole story. Meesseman has soft touch around the basket, can make catch-and-shoot three-pointers and even make a powerful drive to the basket. The crowd went wild in the third quarter when they saw her do this!

Watch Meesseman’s highlights above from the WNBA’s YouTube channel. They show why Washington considers her an integral piece for their team’s success.
