Powers has taken full advantage of starting the past two games and has proved that she deserves to be on the floor at tip-off. In the Mystics’ last win against Seattle, she led her team with 16 points. What was most impressive was her hustle and confidence going to the basket. The game before that she dropped 20 points.
Minnesota is looking to avenge it’s Sunday loss to the Mystics
It’ll be the second time the Mystics and Lynx play each other in six days and there’s and there’s no doubt the 23-point loss isn’t sitting well with Minnesota. Odyssey Sims led her team with 20 while Sylvia Fowles struggled with 3 points in the 23 minutes she was on the floor. The Center, who averages 13.8 points per game has scored 7 and 3 points respectively in her last two games. In order for Minnesota to have a chance at not getting beat by 20-plus points again, they need Fowles to have a better game offensively.
