Although Aerial Powers isn’t consumed in how many points she scored because her team lost 98-81 to the Sparks on Sunday afternoon, her performance was impressive. She not only scored a season-high 24 points but she led Washington in scoring.
When her team needed someone to step up, Powers found ways to answer. But ultimately wasn’t enough.
Though the Mystics didn’t win last night, if Powers had any doubt in herself before this game it should absolutely be gone now.
After the game, I had the chance to speak with Powers about the Mystics’ performance. The Mystics will have a chance to bounce back with two games against the Mercury and the Aces this upcoming week.
