The Wizards lost to the Knicks on Saturday night, 103-87 to finish their 2019 NBA Summer League play. Moritz Wagner scored 20 points to lead Washington. Troy Caupain added 15 points.

For New York, R.J. Morant scored 21 points and dished 10 assists.

This game was more or less an even affair until the fourth quarter when New York made a late run and put Washington away very decisively.

Now that NBA Summer League over, the men’s professional basketball calendar hits a lull before national teams train for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.

Rui Hachimura will represent Japan while Bradley Beal is under consideration to join the USA. Moritz Wagner and Issac Bonga have played for Germany’s youth teams, but it is unclear whether they will play in the tournament.
