Pregame Notes
Washington plays their third home game in less than two weeks. The Mystics’ new home arena can possibly be declared one of the hardest places for opponents to play. It’s still very early since the Entertainment and Sports Arena is in its inaugural season. But so far Washington is 2-0 at home blowing out both previous opponents (Atlanta Dream and Chicago Sky) by a combined 39 points.
Both teams will be coming off the road before this meeting, so analyzing stamina won’t work this go-round. Dallas still does not have their top two scorers from last season. Star guard Skylar Diggins-Smith who just gave birth in April is out indefinitely. And center Liz Cambage was traded to the Las Vegas Aces during the offseason.
Washington will however be seeing a familiar face again in Tayler Hill as she previously played for the Mystics before being traded in July 2018 for Aerial Powers. And for whatever reason, Hill has a beef to settle with Washington.

Not sure what it is, but don’t expect Hill to get too much time on the court. She started Dallas’ first two games but only played three minutes in the Wings’ 79-64 loss to the Fever.
Another notable player on Dallas’ roster is rookie guard Arike Ogunbowale. The former Notre Dame star averages 9.7 points per game and is known to grab a few defensive rebounds as well.
Who doesn’t love Girl Scout Cookies?!
Sunday afternoon’s home game will also be a celebration of Girl Scouts all around the DMV area as the Girl Scout Takeover game. We can guarantee you one Mystics player absolutely loves Girl Scout cookies even if you blindfold her.
