In the Mystics’ 96-75 win over the Atlanta Dream, we were reminded with just how special Emma Meesseman is.
She ended the night with a cool 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting in just 17 minutes although her play suggested that she could have easily scored more. She’s an unselfish teammate so she worked the ball around to help create opportunities for her teammates. There’s no denying that the Mystics are a greater team with Meesseman on the floor. When she leaves Washington mid-season to play for the Belgium National Team, they will feel her loss.
After the game, I caught up with Meesseman on being back with the team, the win against the Atlanta Dream, and her leaving to play for the Belgium National team soon.
