On Tuesday, the Washington Mystics were honored before Game 4 of the Washington Nationals’ matchup against the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series. Washington won 7-4 in a 4-0 series sweep and they are headed to the World Series!

Delle Donne also threw the first pitch which I can argue sparked the Nats’ early 7-0 run in the first inning to put the game out of reach.

Winning is a contagious thing and winning titles could be soon enough. The Lerner Family owns that Nationals also has a minority stake in Monumental Sports & Entertainment, the organization that owns the Mystics, the 2019 WNBA CHAMPIONS and the Capitals, the 2018-19 Stanley Cup Champions.
As Wizards fans, we remain hopeful that this energy inspires the Wizards to do the same, hopefully in the not-too-distant future!
