The Mystics lost to the Dream 78-75 on Tuesday night in Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals. But the Mystics also lost more than just a game.
In the fourth quarter, Elena Delle Donne suffered a left knee injury and had to be assisted off the court.
That was unfortunate because Game 2 between the Mystics and Dream was really good from start to finish. Washington even had a lead with just a few minutes left in the game.
In a game that was close from start to finish, Delle Donne scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Washington. For Atlanta, Alex Bentley led their scorers with 22 points.
Right now, there really isn’t much more I want to say about this game except that Washington still has the talent to win this series, even if they have to do so without Delle Donne. Otherwise, all I want to do is #Pray4EDD and hope her injury isn’t too serious.
The Mystics host the Dream in game 3 on Friday at 8 p.m. EST.
