Ariel Atkins named to AP WNBA All-Rookie Team

Atkins averaged 11.3 points and 2.1 assists in the 2018 season.

Ariel Atkins was named to the 2018 Associated Press WNBA All-Rookie Team on Tuesday. In 29 games and 24 starts, Atkins averaged 11.2 points and 2.1 assists per game.

The seventh pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft was a surprise pick last April after playing for the Texas Longhorns for her college career. However, Atkins has shown hat she was definitely the right choice for Washington. Here are the other five players selected to the team:

  • Kelsey Mitchell, Fever
  • Kia Nurse, Liberty
  • Azura Stevens, Wings
