Elena Delle Donne named to AP All-WNBA First Team

Delle Donne adds a season wide honor after an excellent 2018 season.

Elena Delle Donne was named to the Associated Press’ All-WNBA First Team on Tuesday in a tweet by Doug Feinberg, the AP’s national women’s basketball writer. Delle Donne averaged 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and a career high 2.3 assists in the 2018 season while playing in 29 games.

The other members of the First Team were:

  • Breanna Stewart, Seattle Storm
  • Diana Taurasi, Phoenix Mercury
  • Elizabeth Cambage, Dallas Wings
  • Tiffany Hayes, Atlanta Dream

The Mystics begin their playoffs in the second round on Thursday when they host the lower seeded team remaining after tonight’s first round games. That team will either be the Sparks, Lynx, or Wings.
