Pregame Notes
- Both teams are looking to take the season series (1-1) and move up in the standings as much as possible. Washington is currently in 3rd hoping to move up to 2nd earning a double-bye in the playoffs. Los Angeles is tied at 4th with the Connecticut Sun. Mystics and Sparks both have remaining games where the end result will determine their fate.
- The Mystics have some slight worry in Ariel Atkins who has a hip contusion. Atkins didn’t play on the road against the Indiana Fever, and there’s doubt she’ll play Friday and Sunday afternoon to end the season. Atkins is a very huge asset to the Mystics starting score. Will she ready in time for the playoffs?
- This will be the final farewell to Capital One Arena for the Washington Mystics as they’ll be moving on to another venue in Southeast D.C. beginning next season. Home playoff games, if any, will be played at the Smith Center at George Washington University.
