Pregame Notes
Washington has been playing some of its best basketball considering their current five-game win streak and the fact they’re injury-free heading into a playoff run. Meanwhile, the Wings have lost seven in a row heading into this game and are on the second game of a back to back. Expect the Mystics to get their first 20 win season since 2010 on Sunday afternoon.
Mystics have peaked at the proper time
As mentioned earlier, Washington is injury-free and on a current win streak and it’s the best time for all this to occur. With an already clinched playoff-berth, the focus is trying to be a top-two seed for a double-bye right to the semifinals.
Washington’s starting core has been very underrated throughout the season, but has really proven themselves. The biggest downfall for the Mystics is if their bench doesn’t show up because at some point starters have to rest.
Some of their biggest games will either keep them at the top of the league or back at the bottom. Washington has a big advantage Sunday afternoon versus Dallas especially with Liz Cambage being questionable in concussion protocol. Their next few games consist of: Indiana, Los Angeles, and Minnesota, two being in the playoffs.
