Storylines to follow
The Mystics are well represented - Delle Donne and Toliver will both be in this year’s game together. This is Delle Donne’s fifth appearance and Toliver’s second.
Toliver was the first player Delle Donne drafted - If you are wondering who Delle Donne picked first on her team, it was Toliver, according to Doug Feinberg of the Associated Press. #TeamGoals y’all.
The Eastern Conference has little representation though - Conferences are no longer in consideration in All-Star Game selection. Of the 22 slots, only six went to Eastern Conference teams. The Mystics are the only team with multiple representatives from the East, and the Fever don’t have an All-Star this season.
Toliver will be in the Three Point Contest! - Toliver will compete against last season’s champion, Allie Quigley (Sky), Kayla McBride (Aces), Kelsey Mitchell (Fever), and Renee Montgomery (Dream). The three point contest will be held during halftime.
