Capital One Arena didn’t host Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Thursday night. But many fans came early in the afternoon to watch the Mystics play the Lynx and stayed to see the Capitals win their first Stanley Cup in one of many watch parties throughout town.
Here is what their players and coaches said after seeing a large crowd yesterday evening and seeing the Caps win their first championship.
