The Mystics lost 85-73 to the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night. For the Mystics, Monique Currie led Washington’s scorers with 24 points. For the Aces, A’ja Wilson scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Kristi Toliver came into this game off a 30 point performance in the Mystics’ last game against the Mercury. She only scored three points, all off free throws.

The Mystics finish their road trip with a 1-2 record and are 5-2 overall this season. This loss was a disappointing way to end an otherwise better than expected start to the season, but the Mystics have some injuries to their roster. Elena Delle Donne and Natasha Cloud suffered illnesses and kidney stones in the last week amd their returns aren’t yet known. Hopefully they will come back sooner rather than later, but they also have to come back at full strength.

Next Game

The Mystics finally come back home to Capital One Arena to face off against the Connecticut Sun this Sunday, June 4. Tip off is at 3 p.m. EST.
