Mystics vs. Wings preview: Washington looks to go past .500 on Saturday

The Mystics (17-13) will host the Wings (14-17) on Saturday night. Here’s the preview:

Game Info

Where and When: Saturday, August 26, 7 p.m. at Capital One Arena

TV/Streaming: In the DC area, you must watch this online on Monumental Sports Network. Otherwise, NBA TV has the game.

Injuries: The Mystics will not have Tayler Hill or Natasha Cloud. Dallas is good to go.

What to look for

This is the 1st round playoff match if the season ended today - The Wings would be the 8th seed while the Mystics would be the fifth seed in the season ended today. Skylar Diggins-Smith (SHE’S MARRIED NOW) and the Wings haven’t clinched their spot yet, so expect a fierce effort from them. The Mystics on the other hand can’t be complacent because they’re in the playoffs. They wouldn’t have a first round bye if the season ended today. And if they did play in the first or second round, it’s a single elimination game, not a best of five series.

EDD and Meesseman need to develop more chemistry (again) - I liked what I saw from the star frontcourt on Friday, minus the fourth quarter. But let’s put it together for 40 minutes,
