The Mystics defeated the Fever 100-80 on Saturday. Krystal Thomas led the way with 20 points and 14 rebounds while Emma Meesseman added 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. For the Fever, Candice Dupree led the way with 26 points.
The Mystics looked good throughout this game early on as they raced to a quick double digit lead in the first quarter when they shot 67 percent from the field while holding Indiana to just 30 percent shooting. They never looked back from that point. That’s pretty much how this game went.
Right before the second half began, there was ANOTHER rain delay. A major thunderstorm passed through D.C. which caused subtle drops to fall onto fans in the stands and on one spot of the court. After about a 30 minute delay, play resumed once a tarp was placed.
I get that things like roof leaks can happen in a vacuum. But this isn’t acceptable. These leaks need to be fixed before players get hurt or more games get postponed down the road.
