Friday’s Mystics vs. Sun game was postponed due to a roof leak at the Verizon Center after a 50 minute delay. It will be rescheduled at a later date. There are major storms going through the D.C. area tonight which is causing the issue.
This isn't the first time a roof leak caused issues at the Verizon Center.
On January 11, 2014, a Wizards vs. Rockets game was postponed twice due to a roof leak. Along the way, then-Rockets center Dwight Howard played a bit of one on one with a young boy and blocked one of his shots:
We’ll see if today’s leak is a new one or if it is coming from the same area as the 2014 one.
