The Mystics announced that Delle Donne suffered an ankle sprain and will not return. She will be examined on Saturday, so her status is up in the air for Sunday’s game against the Fever.

In light of her injury, this gives Emma Meesseman a chance to shine as a “number one option” once again, like she did for Belgium in EuroBasket Women last month. It also gives Tianna Hawkins some more opportunities to play as well.
Here’s hoping that Delle Donne’s injury is not serious.
