Here's an article by ESPN's Seth Berkman that Mystics center Stefanie Dolson played a big part in Meesseman's development since last season. Maybe she's the one who gets Emma to unleash her "inner beast." After Tuesday's win, a lot of Wizards analysts like Glenn Consor, Ben Standig, and Christy Winters-Scott were raving about Meesseman, and the WNBA is starting to notice that.
With the win, the Mystics are 5-2, and head coach Mike Thibault now has 38 wins as their head coach. That ties him with Julie Plank who had that many wins from 2009-2010. Thibault has a chance to be the Mystics' all-time winningest head coach this Friday in Atlanta when they play the Dream on the road.
The Truth may very well be responding to reports that he is about to leave D.C. Either way, that's a cool hat.
The action gets kicked off on July 10th against Phoenix. Who will we be watching as our new draft pick?
Still no word on when Tomas Satoransky will try to play in the NBA, but at least his facial hair is on point now. (HT: @Luke_Mellow)
Beal will play in Johannesburg later this summer along with other players like Kenneth Faried, Serge Ibaka, Gorgui Dieng, Chris Paul, and Luol Deng.
Washington Wizards* Myles Turner, C Texas, FRESHMAN | 6-11, 240 [Trade: Wizards receive No. 12 pick and Trey Burke from Jazz in exchange for No. 19 pick, 2016 first-round pick and Ramon Sessions.] With Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors in place and the available wing crop a bit thin, Utah adds an extra first-rounder and hands the point guard reins to Dante Exum. The Wizards leap at the skilled Turner, who could be their center of the future, and offer the disappointing Burke a change of scenery. And hey, it can’t hurt that they’re expected to bid heavily on another ex-Longhorn one year from now… Please let this happen!!!
