The Washington Wizards have assigned 2021 second round pick Isaiah Todd to the Capital City Go-Go yesterday. The news also comes a few days after the Go-Go announced their training camp roster, which includes Joel Ayayi and Cassius Winston, who are the team’s two-way players.

Per NBA rules, a player with three years or less of NBA playing experience can be sent to the G-League at any time and as many times as the NBA team sees fit. They can also be recalled to the NBA team at any time.

Todd has only played one game this season for four minutes, scoring four points. Given the depth at the forward position with Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell, Davis Bertans, Deni Avdija and yes, Rui Hachimura, he wasn’t going to be playing much for the Wizards in the short term. That said, with the Go-Go, Todd can expect to start and make an impact right away. Last season, Todd played for the G-League Ignite, averaging 12.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 19 minutes (15 starts).
