The Wizards announced on Sunday afternoon that they have re-assigned Chasson Randle to the Capital City Go-Go after he spent last week on the NBA roster.
It probably won’t be the last time we see Randle change hands between the Wizards and the Go-Go this season. Shuffling young, end-of-bench players between the NBA and G-League is a fairly common practice with teams that have G-League affiliates as they try to strike the right balance between getting those players game reps in the G-League and tutelage from NBA coaches and players.
Randle’s season will look a bit like this:
The good news for Randle and the Go-Go is they’ve worked quite well together so far. He scored 37 points on 24 shots in the Go-Go’s opener and put up 24 points and 6 rebounds on Sunday in the Go-Go’s loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers after he was reassigned to Capital City.
