What’s up for tonight
The 6-31 Wizards come into tonight’s game on a six-game losing streak as they head into Atlanta. They remain one of the NBA’s worst teams overall, but are at least better than the even more-woeful Detroit Pistons, who are on a seven-game losing streak and have a 3-36 record.
As for the Hawks, they are also bad so far this season with a 15-22 record, good for just 11th in the Eastern Conference. They have lost seven of their last ten games.
And in case you haven’t checked the standings overall, three of the five worst teams in the Eastern Conference are also in the Southeast Division (Hawks at 11th, Charlotte Hornets at 13th and the Wizards at 14th). Even the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic aren’t all that hot at 7th and 8th in the East.
Of course, some team has to win tonight, and though Washington will be underdogs, they at least have a better shot to win tonight when you think about it.
