Public Service Announcement: Kuzma is not realistically a Sign&Trade Candidate

At least, not unless you think some other team is out of their mind (subjectively speaking).

Kyle Kuzma is a free agent. That means he is free to sign with any team. The advantage the Washington Wizards have with re-signing Kuzma is that we are the only team that can use the Bird rule on him:

If a player has been with the same team without being waived or changing teams as a free agent, he is eligible for a five-year max contract (based on number of years of service, as previously discussed) regardless of whether adding that amount would put the team over the cap.

That means the only reason why any team would do a sign&trade for Kuzma is because they effectively need the extra money (ie. the max contract) to beat out competitors for his services.

Apologies in advance if a lot of you fanposters and the like already knew this and seriously think he's so desirable that you assumed other teams are lining up to do a sign&trade in order to ensure Kuzma gets the absolute maximum amount of money he is afforded under NBA salary rules.
