Pregame Notes

This is the first game of two for the Washington Wizards taking on the Orlando Magic. They also play them again on Friday, December 1 before there’s a week break for the In-Season tournament semifinals and championship. The Wizards were eliminated from contention a while ago.

The Magic currently have a five-game home winning streak while Washington just ended their losing streak previously over the Detroit Pistons, their only win in the last 10 games. Washington clearly is struggling this season and are 1-5 in the Southeast Division. Only win in their division was against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, November 8.

This is the first meeting of the season for both teams. Washington will defensively have to figure out how to handle Paolo Banchero and Frank Wagner who combined average 39.3 points a game.
