All In On Maxey?

The Wizards don't have a clear path forward to contention, and so we should get younger and try to get a future star for Beal, our current best player.

The Sixers, after getting knocked off in the playoffs by the Heat pretty effortlessly, need to make a move this offseason o become true title contenders, as Harden is starting his decline and Embiid could request a trade if the Sixers keep getting eliminated in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

Sixers Get: Bradley Beal (S&T), Kyle Kuzma, future second round pick
Wizards Get: Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle

Why Philadelphia Does the Trade: As stated previously, Philly needs to make a win now move lest Embiid get tired of the situation and ask out. As we saw in the 2022 playoffs, the Harden and Embiid duo simply is not enough to get them to the promised land. This trade nets them Bradley Beal, up there with the best and purest scorers in the league. They will form an incredible offensive big three. Philly also receives Kyle Kuzma, a significant fourth option in the starting lineup and an upgrade over Tobias Harris. They immediately jump into serious championship contenders and the favorites to come out of the East.
Lineup: James Harden, Bradley Beal, Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma, Joel Embiid

Why Washington Does the Trade: Tyrese Maxey. I don't believe Philadelphia would do a Beal for Maxey swap straight up, which is why I added Kuzma in as well to sweeten the deal for them. Admittedly trading Beal and Kuzma is a high price to pay, but I believe the upside of Maxey will be well worth it. This trade helps the Wizards on their salary books for the long term, as they won't be saddled with a supermax Beal and the looming free agency of Kuzma in 2023. We will only have to deal with Tobias Harris and his albatross contract for 2 years, at which point his and KP's contracts will come off the books simultaneously and we will have almost no committed salary in 2024. Matisse Thybulle is a nice young player we receive as well.
Lineup: Tyrese Maxey, Corey Kispert, Deni Avdija, Tobias Harris, Kristaps Porzingis

Is this too much, too little, or just right for Tyrese Maxey? Let me know in the comments.
