The Washington Wizards (1–2) defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (1–3) on Sunday evening in Las Vegas, 93–83, in their third Summer League game.
After two slow games during which he shot 23-percent, Corey Kispert, Washington’s 2021 first-round pick (15th overall), knocked down an early three, a shot that would set the tone for his night. The former Gonzaga standout finished with a team-high 18 points on 4-of-7 shooting from deep.

Led by Caleb Homesley (15) at the point and Jaime Echenique (13) in the paint, the Wizards went on a 10–0 run after being down by two. However, it took Milwaukee just two minutes to level the score at 11, and the NBA champions took the lead halfway through the first.
Milwaukee went cold to start the second, failing to score through the first four minutes of the quarter — Sandro Mamukelashvili knocked down a contested two and made the and-one to break the hex. Washington, on the other hand, used a 15–0 run to take an eight-point lead. At the half, the Wizards held the edge by six.
Echenique, who put up 11 in the first half, left early after rolling his ankle at the beginning of the third. Even without its leading scorer, Washington was up 10 after three.
The Wizards never trailed in the fourth en route to their first win of the summer. Mason Jones had 14 off the bench. The Bucks were led by Mamadi Diakite and Jordan Nwora, both of whom put up 18.
Washington’s next game is against the Indiana Pacers on Monday, August 16. Tip off is at 3 p.m. ET, and you can see the game on NBATV.
