Pregame notes

The WNBA season is back for the second half now that the Olympics are over. The Washington Mystics are on a four-game road trip starting with the Las Vegas Aces who they will play twice in a row. The Mystics will still be without Elena Delle Donne, but positive note is she’s excelling in practice and could be seen sometime this season. Myisha Hines-Allen is back after dealing with a knee injury as is Erica McCall.

With an almost healthy roster, they’ll need all they can get as the Aces have A’ja Wilson and will most likely have Liz Cambage back and running after citing mental health as to why she couldn’t continue in the Olympics. The Mystics sit in eighth place at 8-10 while Las Vegas is second at 15-6. It’ll be momentum that sets both teams apart. Prepare to see a battle as Tina Charles takes on either Wilson or Cambage. Charles and Wilson just won a gold medal together and now go back to being opponents. With the games being close together it should be a decent matchup.
