Pregame notes

The Washington Mystics are back for another Saturday game after being off for about a week. They’re in Chi-Town facing the Chicago Sky whom they haven’t played since the season opener on May 15.

The Mystics are still dealing with some injuries but the hope is that this will dwindle down after the Olympic break. Natasha Cloud could play but be on limited minutes as she battles an ankle injury. As for the Chicago Sky, it seems as though they won’t have any major injuries and plan to face Washington as a healthy team.

A key matchup will most definitely be Tina Charles and Candace Parker; two powerhouses who can kill you on the perimeter or dominate inside the paint. Both we’ll see All-Star weekend as well as Parker was named an All-Star for the sixth time and Charles is on the USA Olympic team for a third time.

It should be a fun game to watch especially for those who have Amazon Prime as that is where the game will be televised.
