Australia men’s national team goes undefeated in group play leading them right to the quarterfinals of the 2020 Olympics earlier on Saturday. The Boomers beat Germany 89-76 as Patty Mills came through with a 24-point game and six assists. Jock Landale and Nick Kay combined for 34 points as well.
Germany however couldn’t get the job done and will have to fight for third place to be in medal consideration. The Washington Wizards’ own Isaac Bonga only had five points and three rebounds but was in foul trouble as he had four fouls.
The United States men's national team also cruised into the quarterfinals with a 119-84 win over the Czech Republic. Team USA’s came out to play as they contributed 66 points. Of those 66 points, Jayson Tatum scored 27 and led the way for the Team USA win. Kevin Durant added 23 points of his own on 8-of-11 shooting.

Durant also became the all-time scorer in USA’s history in the Olympics passing Carmelo Anthony.

Zach LaVine (13), Jrue Holiday (11) and JaVale McGee (10) also were also in double figures in the win over Czech Republic.
With the win, Team USA is in the second spot as France is currently undefeated at 3-0. They move on to the quarterfinals on August 3 and their opponent is to be determined.
