The Washington Wizards announced on Wednesday that they have invited six prospects to work out with them on Thursday. They are:

  • Zane Martin, G, Towson
  • Asbjorn Midtgaard, C, Grand Canyon
  • Eugene Omoruyi, F, Oregon
  • Micah Potter, F, Wisconsin
  • Guilherme Santos, G/F, Minas (Brazil)
  • Jaden Springer, G, Tennessee

Of the prospects, Springer is the highest rated on draft boards, where he is No. 30 on NBADraft.net’s Big Board. He averaged 12.5 points per game for the Volunteers last season where they made the NCAA Tournament.

There are three non-American prospects, the most notable being Midtgaard, a Denmark native, who had a strong senior season at Grand Canyon. He averaged 14.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game after three seasons as a seldom-used reserve at Wichita State. At Grand Canyon, Midtgaard was also part of their first NCAA tournament appearance as a Division I school. Omoruyi is from Canada and Santos is from Brazil.

With the exception of Springer, who may be someone the Wizards are considering for their first round pick (No. 15), most of the players in tomorrow’s camp are likely being looked at as potential Summer League or training camp invitees.
