The Washington Mystics (2-4) will have their first meeting with Las Vegas Aces (6-3) Saturday afternoon. The 1:00 p.m. ET game will air nationally on ABC. In the D.C. area, that’s on WJLA-TV, or Channel 7.
The Mystics have partnered with Everytown for Gun Safety for Saturday’s game and will be wearing Wear Orange warm-up shirts to raise awareness on the issue of gun safety. Additionally, a video featuring Natasha Cloud talking about the importance of supporting efforts to stop gun violence will be played, according to a Mystics press release.
Washington, who last played a game on May 28, is coming off loss and will have their hands full with Las Vegas. The Aces beat the New York Liberty 94-82 Thursday night. A’ja Wilson had a dominant performance with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 assists. A total of five Aces players scored in double-figures.
The Mystics will certainly have to focus on slowing down the Aces’ pace as they average nearly 10 points a game more than the Mystics.
