I think this tweets sums up what is at stake. Washington could end up as the ninth seed with a win.
Wizards/Pacers tonight. This is a big game. Win, and they jump to 9th. Lose, and it gets that much more difficult to catch Indy and you might as well rule out the 8th seed.

Getting the ninth seed will also be big in this respect. Washington will get to host a play-in round game, with some fans at Capital One Arena. Some fans are better than none in the coronavirus ties that we live in.
