What to watch for
The Washington Wizards will host a game with about 10,000 fans tomorrow, the most Capital One Arena has hosted since the pandemic. That alone is the biggest story in my opinion. I’m also wondering if Wizards fans are still going to be reluctant to go to the game because of the usual pre-pandemic reasons, like .... the fact that they are 0-2 in this playoff series. This is one of the more fickle NBA fanbases in the country, though if you’re a regular commenter, you stick through it all, thick and mostly thin.
On the hoops front, I’m hoping for a bounceback game from Davis Bertans who was scoreless in Game 2 despite playing 24 minutes. His performance last game was pathetic to say the least. Next, I’m hoping to see Russell Westbrook back on the court despite an ankle injury. With a crowd that’s going to be friendly to him Saturday night, hopefully he bounces back, gets a triple double and helps Washington get one victory in this series. That’s all I need to be happy when I look at this series in a vacuum.
