The Washington Wizards play the Atlanta Hawks tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. You can watch the game on NBC Sports Washington. Listen to it on 1500 AM or the Wizards mobile app locally. Otherwise, SiriusXM is your best bet.
Today’s the big day! I hope. Or in French, they say C’est le Jour J !
Your grandparents may have thought of D-Day when Jour J comes to mind. I think of a song that was very popular on Francophone YouTube:
Anyway, we’re anticipating that Russell Westbrook will break Oscar Robertson’s career triple-double record tonight. And even if he doesn’t do it, tonight, the Wizards still have a few more chances to get it done this season!
I hope he does it tonight! It feels like Sept. 6, 1995 when Baltimore Orioles shortstop Cal Ripken Jr., broke Lou Gehrig’s record for his 2,131st consecutive game. (Yes, this is the WHOLE GAME!)
He didn’t just play in the game. Ripken even hit a home run in a 8-0 victory over the California Angels!
Like Ripken, I feel like destiny is coming for Westbrook tonight. I don’t just see him getting a triple-double. I see the Wizards getting a win as well with Brodie making some BIG PLAYS ALONG THE WAY!
GO WIZARDS!
