There are two big games tonight, not just one.
First and foremost, the Washington Wizards will play the Toronto Raptors tonight at 7 p.m. ET. You can watch the game on NBC Sports Washington.
After the game is over, tune into WUSA-TV (Channel 9) or your local CBS station to watch the 2021 NCAA Division I men’s basketball championship game between Gonzaga and Baylor. Both programs are looking for their first championship in program history.
The Wizards are obviously not doing well since the All-Star Break, and perhaps the team may be semi-tuned-out. Hell, even the Raptors may be semi-tuned-out. Hopefully, Rui Hachimura, a Gonzaga alum, won’t be the worst casualty to this if he were active tonight. Regardless, the team that is least distracted will be the team that wins the game.
We’re all human and exciting events like a college basketball championship (with many future NBA players). And in previous years, there generally weren’t any NBA games on the same night as the college championship, but this isn’t a “normal year.”
I’m not rooting for anyone to win the college game, and I’m not going to watch it tonight since I have to recap this game. Go Wizards.
